National Team Selection
In Pro Basketball Manager, you can manage a national team on its own or in addition to your club. When creating a new career, the game will ask you if you would like to control a national team in addition to your club.
Managing a national team is different from managing a club. The national team menu only contains:
Potential national team players
The Potential national team players page lists all the best players available for your national team.
Players not included in this list can also be selected, as long as they chose your country as their national team and they have not retired from their national team. You can find them with the search page.
How to select a player
- Open the player's profile.
- Click on Interact.
- Click on Select in National Team.
To remove a player from your selection, click on Remove from National Team instead.
Who can be selected?
A player can be selected if:
- They have chosen your country as their national team, or have not chosen yet and hold your nationality. Once selected, their choice is final.
- They have not retired from playing or from the national team.
- They are not seriously injured (two weeks or more).
- Their club competition allows players to join their national team at that time. For example, players of the American league are only released for competitions taking place during the summer.
If a player cannot be selected, a message will explain why (e.g. "#Player has decided to play for #Country").
Selection windows
National teams only gather for specific competition windows (qualifiers, continental championships, World Cup...). Outside these windows, your players stay with their clubs and will only arrive at the start of the next window.
Before each window, you will receive a blocking message in your inbox: Last day to select players!. You must select the number of players required by the competition, then click on Confirm roster. The button only appears once your selection is valid.
If one of your players gets injured, you will be able to call another player into the national team to replace them.
