3D Games
3D Games
When your team has a game, the game will ask you whether you want to Play or Simulate it. If you choose to play it, you will coach your team live in a 3D game.
Before the game
The pregame screen gives you an overview of the game: players to watch, statistics comparison, last games, history and records between both teams.
Before starting the game, you can:
- Check your Roster (PG, SG, SF, PF, C and bench). You cannot start the game without a valid roster. Your assistant coach can finalize the roster for you.
- Adjust your Tactics (see Tactics).
Then click on Start the Game!
During the game
Game speed
You can Pause the game at any time, or play it at speed X1, X2 or X4.
The Simulate menu also allows you to:
- Simulate action by action.
- Simulate quarter.
- Simulate game (the rest of the game is simulated).
Cameras
Several cameras are available in the Settings panel: Coach, TV, Court side, several Stands cameras, as well as a 2D Vertical and a 2D Horizontal view. Some cameras can be zoomed in or out.
The same panel allows you to change the frames per second, the sound volumes, and to switch Tactics and Substitutions to automatic mode if you want your assistants to coach the team for you.
If you experience slowdowns during games, try a static camera, lower the 3D quality and disable the crowd in the settings.
Substitutions
The Substitutions panel shows the players on the court and on the bench, with their freshness, fouls and points. Substitutions are unlimited and are made each time the game stops (after a foul, a timeout, at the end of a quarter...). If a player gets injured or reaches the foul limit, you will have to replace them.
Tactics
You can change your Offensive tactics and Defensive tactics at any time during the game: type of defense (man-to-man, zones, full court press...), pressure, screens, match-ups... See Tactics for more details.
Giving instructions
The megaphone menu allows you to give instructions to each player on the court for the next possession:
- Drive, Inside shot, 2pts shot or 3pts shot.
- Calm down or Congratulate a player.
- Custom play: call one of your plays for the next possession (see Play creation). Your recently called plays are kept for quick access.
Timeouts
Click on Timeout to stop the game and talk to your players. During a timeout, you can give collective and individual instructions, choose the next play and make substitutions. Depending on your words, the timeout can have a positive, mixed or negative effect on your players' morale.
Assistant advice
Your assistants analyze the game and suggest recommended actions: changing defensive match-ups, switching to another defense, substituting a tired or struggling player...
Information panels
Several panels let you follow the game: statistics comparison, evolution of the score, top players, box scores of both teams, action by action, comments and live scores of the other games.
After the game
The Game Recap gives you a summary of the game, a comparison of both teams, the evolution of the score and a shooting chart, as well as the full statistics and the MVP of the game.
